What we do
We have been leaders in sustainable manufacturing since 1946, when we began to manufacture paper with recycled fiber, betting on R&D&i to extract its best properties and satisfy customer needs.
Alier contributes to the circular economy thanks to the development of its own technology specialized in obtaining fiber from all types of paper and cardboard, recovering those that are very difficult to treat, producing around 180,000 tons of 100% recycled paper per year.
For this reason, our manufacturing processes are sustainable with the environment and get zero waste.

Cartón Wall ® It is a 100% recycled plasterboard liner. The high quality of Alier paper gives the plasterboard the mechanical and structural resistance required by our customers.

The quality and resistance of our 100% recycled paper is tested with our open-mouth bags and sacks. The most suitable product for loading coal, sepiolite, potatoes, feed and other agro-industrial materials.

SUSTAINABILITY AND NEW CHALLENGES
We aspire to be pioneers of change and evolution, with the aim of becoming market leaders in the 100% recycled and recyclable paper, plastic and construction materials sectors. And this means evolving daily.
We have a team of more than 60 engineers, working on the exploration of systems to reduce or transform the consumption needs of raw materials, electricity, gas and water and with the aim of achieving decarbonization in the shortest possible time.
PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PLANT
In our environmental commitment, we continue to rely on renewable energies, such as the photovoltaic power plant that will supply the new manufacturing line.
Always betting on circularity, a new biomass plant will help Alier achieve its goal of decarbonisation in 2025.
BIOMASS PLANT
RECOVERY, RECYCLING AND VALORISATION OF PLASTICS
In 2019 we started a plastic waste recovery project that aims to achieve zero waste.

HIGH EFFICIENCY ENERGY
At Alier, we try to generate the least possible impact on the environment.
For this reason, we have a high-efficiency cogeneration power plant so we produce electrical and thermal energy reducing harmful emissions.
